Before Your Adventure Begins

Adventure starts even before you leave home!

1. Connect and Excite

Get the adrenaline flowing early by joining the group chat. It’s the perfect place to start building connections and stoking the excitement.

2. Pack, Plan, and Share

Share your expert packing tips and give everyone a sneak peek at the epic itinerary. Who knows, you might inspire someone to bring that extra pair of hiking boots!

3. Where’s Everyone Coming From?

Find out where your fellow travelers are flying in from. You might discover travel buddies departing from the same airport, making your journey even more thrilling from the get-go!

4. Stay on Top of Deadlines

Keep your fellow adventurers informed about crucial deadlines leading up to the trip. After all, we don’t want anyone to miss out on this adventure of a lifetime.

  • Note: Final payments are due 90 days before the adventure kicks off, and you typically have up to 50 days before the start date to book add-ons or optional activities.

5. Empower Your Fellow Travelers

Encourage your travel buddies to log into the portal, where they can check their remaining balance, access trip preparation guides, and sign up for exciting add-ons.

6. Set Boundaries and Energize

Before the adventure begins, take a moment to reflect:

  • What personal stories are you comfortable sharing?
  • What parts of your life are off-limits?
  • How much “me” time do you need each day?
  • What will keep your energy levels soaring?
  • Is there room for a little work while you’re on the go?

7. Mastermind Your Workshops

If you’re hosting workshops, map out the agenda and content in advance. Check your trip page for workshop details, including their duration and the days they’re happening. Don’t forget those informal workshops – your Trip Coordinator can help you find the perfect time to squeeze them in.

8. Capture the Magic

Plan out the best spots for group and personal photos. You’ll be snapping memories all trip long, but planning ahead means you won’t miss out on being part of the action. Some photo ops? Think gazing over Machu Picchu in Peru, conquering Mount Batur in Bali, or marveling at Exit Glacier in Alaska.

9. Connect with Your Trip Coordinator

Around 50 days before your adventure begins, a member of our Trip Experience team will introduce themselves. They’ll be your go-to contact until you meet your local guide on-site. Use this opportunity to get all your burning questions answered during your pre-trip call.

10. Dot Your I’s and Cross Your T’s

Make sure you’ve got all your important documents (like passport info and travel forms) uploaded to the portal well in advance. If you happen to forget something, your Trip Coordinator will give you a friendly nudge.

11. Familiarize Yourself with Community Guidelines

Refresh your memory on our Community Guidelines so you know what’s expected of you as a host and what your fellow travelers should expect too.

Top Tips for keeping it social!!!

1. Be Present and Dive In!

The adventure is happening now! Immerse yourself in every moment, engage with your fellow adventurers, and dive headfirst into all the included activities. If work beckons, try to tackle it during optional activities or downtime. Wifi is rare in many parts of rural locations we go to, do enjoy the digital detox!

2. Break the Ice

At group dinners, get the conversation flowing by asking questions like, “What brought you here?” to help everyone open up and connect on a deeper level.

3. Let Your Local Guide Shine

Your local guide is here to handle logistics, so you can focus on having a blast. They’ll take care of transfers, answer destination-specific questions, and ensure everyone is where they need to be. So, kick back and enjoy the ride! Our guides are charismatic and love the experience also, they’re great at keeping peoples spirits high.

4. Daily Check-ins with Your Guide

Meet up with your guide for a quick chat in the morning or the night before to get a sneak peek at the day ahead. That way, you’ll be well-prepared to fill your fellow travelers in on what’s in store.

5. Trust Your Guide’s Authority

Remember, your guide is the trip authority, and if any traveler doesn’t comply or disrupts the group’s well-being, your guide may take necessary action. No changes can be made to the itinerary, however to ensure a good experience and also for health/safety, the guide may decide to alter the itinerary from time to time.

6. Adventure Unveiled

Activities and restaurant reservations are all set in stone. If a traveler wants to opt-out of an activity or meal, simply let the guide know when you find out. Last-minute changes can disrupt the adventure. They will also be told to chat to the guide on anything they need also.

7. Dream of the Next Adventure

Start planning your next reunion trip! Ask your fellow adventurers where they want to go next and begin dreaming up your next epic escape. Be sure to let us know if we can help you in any way.

8. In Case of Emergencies

If the unexpected happens, notify your guide. They’re trained in crisis management and can quickly reach out to Ready For Road headquarters if needed. They have access to hel-evac and have seen almost everything eventuality so they can often remedy problems pretty quickly.

After the Adventure Ends !!!

The adventure may be over, but the memories live on!

1. Share the Adventure

We’ll provide a link to a Google Drive folder where everyone can share and access trip content. You can also share one if you so prefer to use a personal one. Encourage your fellow adventurers to upload their photos and memories. The more, the merrier!

2. Stay Connected

Keep the group chat going post trip or make your own to keep momentum going. Hey, maybe they will join one of your future group trips.

3. Share Your Feedback
